“Teacher exodus: Why are teachers leaving and what are the solutions?”

Date/Time: 8 June 2022: 6pm-7.30pm

Where: United Sports Club – Bryant st Adamstown, Newcastle

Educators and teachers are exiting the profession at a staggering rate. Approximately 8% of teachers are leaving each year and some surveys suggest that over 50% are considering leaving in the near future. The problem is huge in primary and secondary schools and perhaps even more alarming in Early Childhood education. The idea that there are simply not enough teachers to educate the next generation is inconceivable to most people. Teachers are the custodians of our future and without them, the future is bleak.
